Devi PhilosophyDevi is a Sanskrit word representing the Divine energy of the universe that is simultaneously nurturing and dynamic, powerful yet gentle. It is a balanced energy that reflects the creative power and harmony of nature itself. At Devi Yoga, we endeavor to embody these qualities in our Hatha yoga classes and educational workshops.

Devi Yoga provides a sacred environment to practice and explore Hatha yoga. The emphasis is on ?flow? forms of yoga including the Ashtanga, Anusara, and Vinyasa styles. This kind of yoga practice allows the body to build heat naturally from within. By working with postures (asanas) and conscious breathing, body and mind are brought together - united - balanced. No matter what level you are at, whether you?re a first timer or a seasoned practitioner, if you?re pregnant, or if you?re a senior, you will have a place at Devi.

The goal of Devi is also to foster a community of conscientous adults and children committed to improving their health and enlightening their spirits. Devi will sponsor regular educational workshops on nutrition, preventive medicine and meditation, and host international yoga master teachers who will instruct and inspire. We will have a small boutique with products that have been carefully selected to inform, support and enrich all aspects of your yoga practice.

Devi is pleased to be the first yoga studio in the Menlo-Atherton area. We look forward to building a community amongst our staff and students, and to make a positive contribution to the special community in which we live.
